Zorya-Mashproekt are planning to increase their production by 25 – 30 %, Context-Prichernomorie correspondent reports.
Governor of Mykolaiv Oblast Alaxey Garkusha announced it at the collegium of the Oblast Council yesterday, 27 January, 2009.
According to Mr. Garkusha, the enterprise was reorganized – now their production does not flow to the stores and then gets realized, but is being produced under existing agreements.
“Even now the enterprise operates in three shifts, and not for storage, but under existing orders. This means 12 thousand employees will get their pays regularly”, — Governor added.
Thanks to stable work of the enterprise Mykolaiv Oblast State Administration hope to receive additional pays into the budget.
In total, Mykolaiv Oblast had 0,4 % industrial growth in 2008, while in Ukraine there was 3,1 % decrease. Even now there positive predictions for 2009.
INFORMATION: In 1954 was founded a special designer bureau for design and development of gas turbine engines and marine propulsions for USSR Navy to support the Southern Turbine Plant «Zorya» (Nikolaev, Ukraine). In 1961 the bureau was separated from «Zorya» as an independent company – Design Bureau «Mashproekt», later on it was renamed to SPE «Mashproekt». In 2001 both companies were merged in to one «Zorya»–«Mashproekt» State Enterprise Gas Turbine Research & Production Complex.
About 3000 gas turbine engines of gas turbine complex «Zorya» — «Mashproekt» with total power of~ 24 million kW, have accumulated more than 30 million hours on sites. More than 70 types of high efficient gas turbine propulsion plants of «Zorya» — «Mashproekt» production for Navy, merchant and passenger ships are in operation in 20 countries of the world.
More than 600 engines supplied by «Zorya» — «Mashproekt» are in commercial operation at compressor stations of linear gas pipelines.
